Spring Into These Health & Safety Tips

Health and Safety is a 365 - 24/7 top priority; and here at All Weather Specialist we would like to take this time to remind our valuable clients and customers of some of the health and safety precautions for Spring 2023.

Smoke Alarms / Carbon Monoxide Detectors

  • Install CO detectors and fire alarms on all levels of your home, in places where they will wake you and your family if they go off or in locations where fire is most likely to occur, such as the kitchen. Make sure the detectors you purchase are battery-powered or have a battery backup. Test the alarm at least twice a year, replacing batteries when needed.

Fire Extinguishers

  • Make sure you and everyone in your household knows where to find the extinguisher and how to use it. You'll also need to regularly check the meter on your extinguisher to make sure it is in proper working order.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

  • Benefits of dryer vent cleaning include clothes drying faster, dryer will last longer with less repairs, a lower power bill, and it will reduce the risk of potential dryer fire. Over months and years lint accumulates in the ducts and mix with hot air and ignite, creating a fire hazard.

Gutter Cleaning

  • Cleaning your gutters will help prevent water damage, protect your roof, keep pest from causing trouble and reduce the risk of a cracked foundation.

HVAC Filter Replacement

  • Furnace filters are designed to both improve the quality of the air you breathe, and also to protect your HVAC system from build-up of dirt and debris.

A/C Maintenance

  • Regular A/C maintenance allows for efficient performance, helps maintain maximum efficiency and it will increase the lifespan of your unit.
